This summer, we are delighted to welcome Bishop Auckland Choral Society to Auckland Palace for a spectacular evening of music.

Opera Choruses, will weave together a wonderful selection of opera’s most beloved classics, featuring works by Verdi, Rossini, and Mozart, alongside a few lesser-known treasures.

With accompaniment by a small instrumental ensemble and featuring performances by professional soloists, the choir will bring these magnificent works to life in the atmospheric setting of St. Peter’s Chapel.

Chocolate Making Workshop with The Durham Chocolate Company at The Auckland Project

Join us for a deliciously fun and interactive Chocolate Making Workshop with The Durham Chocolate Company, hosted at the stunning Auckland Project.

This hands-on experience will take you on a journey from pod to packet, as you discover the fascinating story of chocolate. During the session, you will take part in taste tests and quizzes to challenge your chocolate knowledge. The ‘dreaded cocoa bean challenge’ will add an element of fun, while the opportunity to see, touch, and smell a real cocoa pod will give you a deeper understanding of where chocolate truly begins.

The highlight of the workshop is learning to create your own hand-rolled Belgian chocolate truffles, a skill that can be used for gifting and special occasions. This is a fantastic session that has received excellent feedback from previous attendees, offering a unique blend of education, creativity, and indulgence.

Please note: There is no parking on-site. Guests will need to park on a nearby road and walk for approximately 1–2 minutes to the venue. The full address will be emailed to you after booking.
