FAQs / Help

What are our opening times?

Our venues are open Wednesday to Sunday from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

We’re also open on Bank Holiday Mondays.

What should I do if I need to cancel my booking?

Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable and non-cancellable. However, changes can be made to the date and/or entry time of an admission ticket until 9am on the day of the original booking. You can amend your ticket booking at any time by logging into your online account.

Changes to the date and/or entry time of an admission ticket can be made, providing the preferred date/time is available and up to two hours before the time of the original booking. Please note: times/dates of tickets for special events cannot be changed once booked.

What happens if I lose my Unlimited Pass or Friends membership card?

Please don’t worry if you lose your Unlimited Pass or Friends membership card. Simply visit any of our attractions to request a new card. You will need to provide the name, postcode and email address you originally used to create your account, and our team will then be able to issue a new card.

Are your attractions accessible?

Many of our attractions have been redeveloped for maximum accessibility. Auckland Castle, the Faith Museum, Mining Art Gallery, Spanish Gallery and Auckland Tower are all accessible to wheelchairs.

Unfortunately, the Walled Garden is not accessible to wheelchair users.

We would recommend a motorised wheelchair for the Deer Park because of the terrain and change in levels. While the park has uneven ground, it is not too hilly or challenging.

Is photography allowed?

Photography (without flash) and filming for personal use only is allowed in everywhere apart from Bishop Trevor Gallery in Auckland Castle and the Mining Art Gallery.

Are we allowed to bring our dogs?

Guide dogs only in our buildings. All dogs are welcome in the Deer Park.

Are there toilets available?

Toilets, including accessible toilets and baby changing facilities, are available in all attractions.

Where is the nearest car parking?

Car parking is available at North Bondgate Car park. If using a sat nav, the postcode is DL14 7PF. Parking charges apply Monday to Saturday, 24 hours a day (including Bank Holidays): 60p for up to two hours, and £3.50 for stays over two hours. There are electric car charging point and Blue Badge Bays in North Bondgate Car Park.

This car park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Can I bring a bag with me?

If you bring a bag to the Spanish Gallery, you can leave it in a locker. The lockers are 30cm wide x

44cm high. If you are visiting Auckland Castle or the Mining Art Gallery, rucksacks should be worn on your front, rather than your back. Please don’t bring very large bags with you, as unfortunately, we can’t store them for you.

Who should I contact for media or filming enquiries?

For any enquiries relating to media, on site filming or commercial photography please email [email protected].
