Broadcaster and impressionist Alfie Joey brings Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to Auckland Palace in a one-man performance packed with characters, humour, ghosts and Christmas spirit.
One man, a host of characters and one of Christmas’s best-loved stories. Alfie Joey draws on his gift for voices and storytelling to take on Scrooge, Marley, the Cratchits and the ghosts of Christmas in his solo retelling of Dickens’ classic.
Funny, ghostly and ultimately hopeful, the performance follows Scrooge through the past, present and future as he is forced to reckon with the life he has chosen and the possibility of changing it.
